I am a sixth year M.D. candidate at School of Medicine, Tsinghua University, currently doing my internship at Peking Union Medical College Hospital, the best hopital in China. I work with Dr. Sheng Yu at Tsinghua University and my research interests lie at the intersections of natural language processing, deep learning and biomedicine.
Prior to this, I spent two wonderful years at Department of Biomedical Informatics, University of Pittsburgh as a visiting research scholar. I worked with Dr. Xinghua Lu from UPitt, Dr. William Cohen and Bhuwan Dhingra from CMU. During my undergraduate studies, I worked with Dr. Xuegong Zhang on bioinformatics at Tsinghua University.
I am interested in building real intelligent systems that can read and understand biomedical texts. Such systems will empower human doctors and patients with the unreasonable effectiveness of data. My long-term goal is to contribute to democratizing medicine and revolutioning medical education in the AI era.
